The Ministry of Tourism is proud to announce the Inaugural edition of Krishnaveni Sangeetha Neerajanam from  6 to 8 December, 2024  at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

Vijayawada being the cultural capital of Andhra Pradesh offers a perfect backdrop for celebrating the glorious music traditions of Andhra Pradesh. This event shall bring to light the richness and legacy and traditions of classical music and help revive focus on Harikatha and Namasankeerthana traditions. Witnessing participation from artists representing music colleges of Andhra Pradesh and nearby states, this event shall provide a platform to exhibit their talents.

Music and cultural festivals attracting huge crowds play a pivotal role in promoting tourism by facilitating cross-cultural exchange and understanding, promoting socio-cultural sustainability and enhancement of the local economy. Music festivals aid in establishing a cultural identity by showcasing the local traditions and promoting local artisans and crafts. By showcasing local traditions and supporting artisans, music festivals contribute to the overall vitality and tourism appeal of a destination. The festival shall also have display and sale of regional cuisine of South Indian states at the venues in addition to Craft bazaars to promote local handicrafts and handloom. The festival also aims to promote lesser known destinations in the region.
